We stayed at X Hotel on a Saturday night and honestly, it was better than we expected. The room was super clean and felt really freshlike, and the best part,  totally soundproof. We didn’t hear a single thing from the road or outside noise, which made it easy to fully relax and sleep in. The pool area was a clean, peaceful, and just the right vibe. We ended up spending more time there than we thought we would and the food was incredible. Location-wise, it was spot on. We could walk everywhere in the Valley and so close to Howard Smith wharfs for sunset drinks on the river. Would definitely stay again, we left feeling like we’d had a proper little escape.

Breakfast is served à la carte, and while it was included for the two rooms we booked (each accommodating 2 adults and 1 child), we were informed at the table that breakfast was not included for the children (both under 12). This was a bit disappointing given the room rates. Overall, it’s a fairly good choice, but you can find better value for your money at other hotels in the same area.

Excellent breakfast with outstanding coffee in the Bisou Bisou restaurant downstairs: Maître D' was a lovely fun French women who added to the breakfast experience. Swimming pool was very refreshing and clean with comfortable loungers. Relaxing lighting options in the room. Very comfortable bed. Great location to James St and shopping/cafes/restaurants. Whispering aircon and double-glazed windows means we had a couple of very quite night of sleep.

Location is perfect with plenty of dining and bar options close by. The staff were fantastic, the room was nice and quiet. The rooftop is great with a fantastic view, good service and a variety of seating options.
